| 4. Trinity Hi-Fi “Turn The lights Down” (12" - Airdog Recordings Ltd) |
| Sometimes it can get frustrating. A tune kicks off, the intro sounds cool, then a nice vocal kicks in, then some even more tempting musical outtakes – you think you’re in for a right treat. And then – nothing happens it stays the same through to the end. Dave London’s mix of “Turn the Lights Down” is a point in question. He managed to pull out some really tasty samples (airy vocal, deep bass-line and crisp beats) but just doesn’t appear to know what to do with them. A return to the drawing board may be in order. Deejay Punk-Roc provides the most interesting tune with his funky disco remix of “Hey Joe” (not, I hasten to add Hendrix’s track). |
