| 4. Four Tet “No More Mosquitoes” (12" - (Domino Recording)) |
| No More Mosquitoes is the first single to be taken from Kieran Hebden’s (aka Four Tet) critically acclaimed new album “Pause”. It’s a down tempo, almost nursery rhyme style track with lots of odd sound effects and plodding beats. Not necessarily one of the best tracks from the album but even if you already own a copy the 12” is still well worth a purchase as you get three more previously unreleased tracks for your money. And excellent they are too full of innocently delicate sounds such as the childlike keyboards of “Flon”, the gorgeous acoustic guitars of “Look After Your Mermaid” and the charming oboes of “Warmer Places”. |
