| “Copter” is the second release in a month for Mo Wax’s new signing Malcolm Catto. As a serious collector of rare funk 7 inches Mr Catto doesn’t seem to refer to that string of his bow when it comes to making his own music. Avant Garde rock crossed with eighties goth would be a better way of describing “Copter”. His mastery of the drums dominates the skyline with unpretentious and wholly irreverent fluidity keeping him as far away as possible from all things electronic and clinical. Spontaneous and very special. |
