| 5. Appliance “Land, Sea and Air” (12" - Mute) |
| “Land Sea and Air” is the second single to be released from Appliances current album “Imperial Metric”. Following in the footsteps of indie predecessors the Inspiral Carpets and The Happy Mondays they reiterate that Manchester sound with expertise. The title track is a sleepy, mesmeric and rock guitar laced crooner that should see some decent airplay on radios around the country. A further two remixes of “am/pm” and “Land, Sea and Air” by Simian, and Bridge and Tunnel, respectively, grace the release. They add an extra dimension of electronica and cartoon simplicity to the equation. |
