| Being confirmed as support on both US Radiohead tours means a guaranteed boost in popularity for The Beta Band. Not that they need much of a boost over here. This, their first single release since New Year 2000 will only do more to reaffirm the reasons why. Broke is a short but very sweet, bass-heavy, harmony-laden delicacy. It’s not going to instigate instantaneous screams of delight but get used to the sound and after a few listens you’ll be involuntarily singing along with the chorus, no problem. |
