11. Various “The Legacy – Episode 1” (Ronin Records) Album Review
If we were searching for a representative of the British hip-hop scene; a representative to get out there and show the rest of the world that we can pull it off just as well the rest of them, we could do a lot worse than to get Ronin Records on the job.

Although, amongst the eighteen tracks featured on this mix CD, all but two are provided by Deckwrecka and Skitz the quality of what you hear more than justifies the bias.

Tracks such as Deckwrecka’s “Frontline”, Skitz’s collaboration with Roots Manuva “Blessed Be The Manor”, and new boy’s H.A.H’s “H.E.L. are a more than healthy match for any of the US’s Pharcydes, Roots or Commons.

Skilfully mixed by Ronin’s own Alex Baby (resident at London’s hip-hop, hotspot “Rotation”) “The Legacy – Episode 1” charts the growth of a significant label and features a selection of previously unreleased material as well as sought after vinyl.

Britain has never had it so good.
