| It may take an acquired taste to appreciate the somewhat wobbly but velvet vocals of Lorna Marshall (occasional co-writer and collaborator with Massive Attack), not that that has stopped Danny Macmillan and Will South aka Soul Electric calling her on duty for this their third single. A bit weak and non-eventful, “Surrender” is a slimy, eighties-embossed number that reeks of school discos and ra-ra skirts. “Blue Effect” give it more of a push on the dancefloor with some 2 step timing. |
