| 7. Neil Finn “Hole In The Ice” (EMI) |
| “Hole In the Ice”, the second single to be lifted from Neil Finn’s current album “One Nil” comes as part of a two CD single release. Part of which includes live recordings made in Auckland where the singer/songwriter’s band included The Smith’s Johnny Marr and Radiohead’s Ed O’Brian. So for die hard fans of two of the best guitar bands of the eighties and nineties this single, despite the Neil Finn connection, could be worth a purchase. But, for all it’s worth “Hole In The Ice” with it’s Beatles-esque rock vocal and extremely catchy chorus is another notch on Mr Finns already well established belt, reaffirming him as one of the best folk/rock artists around. |
