| DJ Spooky embraces the harder edge of the hip-hop phenomenon with “Catechism”, a full-bore show of strength both vocally and musically. The testosterone levels are on overdrive as Killah Priest contemplates some “guillotine” action (God help us!) and that bass line takes no prisoners. It comes with three mixes (DJ Format, Part 2’s New Flesh Mix and Mex’s Black Grass Mix), the first of which sticks to the original’s macho stance, whilst the second makes the funk the subject and the last (and the best) fuels the fire with some very special electro moves. |
