| 1. S.I. Futures “Freestyle Disco” (12" - Novamute) |
| As the second single to be lifted from the multi talented Mr Si Beggs aka S.I. Futures’ current lunacy-laced, and critically acclaimed album “The Mission Statement”, “Freestyle Disco” isn’t really disco at all. No, instead it is reminiscent of a Mr Oizo workout but with a lot more techno tomfoolery and harder break beats. It’s going to take a lot to match the impact of his previous single “We Are Not A Rock Band”, and unfortunately this one doesn’t manage it. The dance floor is bound to soak it up but that’s about as good as it gets. |
