| 2. Alpinestars “Snow Patrol” (12" - Riverman Records) |
| The first single to be taken from the Alpinestars forthcoming second album, “White Noise”, “Snow Patrol” is a kitsch and slightly tired tune. With the statutory vocoders and disco beats it sounds very similar to the Lo-fi Allstars – which is odd because the Allstars provide the next and only mix - a mix that ends up sounding even more like them! It’s very mainstream and slightly unambitious. So that’s them with a high chart position to look forward to then. |
