| Thankfully, the “Electricity EP, sees The Avalanches reverting back to the uplifting sound of their first single “Since I Left You”, well away from the cut ’n paste of “Frontier Psychiatrist”. Destined for more chart success, it’s charm lies in its disco filtered synths and friendly beats. Harvey does a tame re-edit, Dr Rockit (aka Matthew Herbert) provides a twisted techy mix and DJ Sneak concentrates on the up-tempo beats. A fine package. |
