| 3. Midfield general “You Take” (12" - (Skint)) |
| Damien Harris, owner and head honcho of Skint Records, the home of Fatboy Slim, changes the script yet again. His last single “Reach Out” was a triumphant slice of funk and breaks with the kind of crescendo that has a club full of people stretching skywards. “You Take” is a completely different story, but nevertheless a successful one. It’s a subtle slice of beats and bass with a catchy vocal and lots of swirly bits. A definite dancefloor stomper. In the mix Bullitcatcher houses things up a tad whilst Laj and Quakerman get thinks going further with oodles of tasty percussion. |
