1. Kloot “Dentist’s Chair EP” (12" - (Some Bizarre))
After managing to escape and survive the uncomfortable wranglings of a major deal Koot are now back on track with independent’s Some Bizarre. The “Dentist’s Chair EP” consists of four tracks, four songs and four styles: the Elvis Costello style slow rock of “Knocking Shop”, the blues, guitar-laced drawl of “This Sermon Closed”, the Dylan influenced rock bop of “Jam For No-One” and the Crowded House pop joking of the title track.
All decent pop music but maybe just a touch too dated and a touch too Brian Adams – not that that ever puts the Radio 1 DJs off. They’re probably on their way up the charts as we speak.
