| 3. St Germain “Rose Rouge” (12" - Parlophone) |
| If you’ve spotted the recent Radio 1 TV ad featuring the inimitable Mr Gilles Peterson, then you may also recognise this tune. “Rose Rouge” was originally featured on St Germain’s much applauded album “Tourist” and after undergoing some remix treatment from Spiller now sees a release as part of a bonus CD accompanying the re-released version of the album. Spiller adds his subtle touch and comes up with a filtered-down floor pleaser. The Radio Edit keeps in more of the jazz elements to eventuate a blinding free-form version. If ever there was a reason for investment in the already million selling “Tourist” album, this is surely it. |
