| 3. Big Hair “Album Sampler 2” (12" - Kontraband) |
| Big Hair released their oddly named debut album, “Imagine Being Chased By A One Man Band”, earlier this year, gaining much recognition and an album of the week from The Guardian. As the album was only available on CD format, those lovely people at Kontraband have decided to give all budding DJs a chance to play these unique slices of minimal and pumping house, to a vinyl friendly audience. As the second of two 12” samplers, “Sampler 2” consists of the very tasteful “I Bet You Were A Goth Once”, the ever-so-slightly-odd “Mongolian State Circus” and the truly infectious and Latino “Dub Club Mix” of “Hindoos & Hairdoos”. Not bad for a couple of freaks! An impressive taster that should get a few more fans scrabbling to get hold of the album. |
