Ra Ra Riot celebrate their signing of a long term deal with V2 Records with their debut release for the label, 'Dying Is Fine', on October 15th. The release follows the ultra limited 'Each Year' single earlier in the year on Label Fandango.

'Dying Is Fine' is a track that may be familiar to those in the know from Ra Ra Riot's six track eponymous US EP that saw the band command such attention on both sides of the Atlantic following tremendously received sets at last year's CMJ and this year's South By South West. The B side features a remix of 'Each Year' by current US favourites RAC, who have also worked with Bloc Party ('Hunting For Witches', 'Song For Clay' and The Shins ('Sleeping Lessons').

Ra Ra Riot follow their summer visit to the UK which saw them take in Latitude and Indian Summer Festivals alongside a short run of headline shows with further UK dates supporting Editors on their sold out October tour. Editors are firm fans of the band and Ra Ra Riot precede these dates with support slots on the US tour, currently underway.

Ra Ra Riot formed in Syracuse New York in 2006 through a combination of recommendations and searching for the right people. Their unique line-up of the traditional guitar, bass and drums augmented by cello and violin creates a skewed pop sound that blends a post punk energy with the symphonic melodies of a more melodic age. Having borne the sad loss of their drummer and founding member John Pike this year through an accidental death, the five remaining members elected to carry on and work will commence post Editors tour on their debut album, slated for release in Spring of 2008.
