Prinzhorn Dance School release a new double a side single, Up! Up! Up! & Hamworthy Sports And Leisure Centre on May 14th.

'We wrote some songs in a broken down ex-chapel and we liked the way they felt. Sparse and stripped back and honest. We like to hear everything clearly. We like things simple. We don't fuss over equipment - we just bought a couple of new bits to record the album.

We started recording the album in a national trust cottage in Devon. We like to record by ourselves, in isolation. We packed all our equipment and a months worth of food into a van. But when we got there all we did was fight and get pissed. Eventually we got a half decent kick-drum sound but then got frustrated and threw the drum into the field. So we moved to a barn in Sussex. That felt much better. More like the feeling we got in the chapel. We started to get the sounds we wanted. It felt special again. We didn't sleep much. We just went flat out to record the 16 songs.

So these are two songs from our album. It's a double a-side because we like both songs the same. One is called "Up! Up! Up!" the other is called "hamworthy sports and leisure centre'.
