Following the Top 10 success of 'Meds'- Placebo's most acclaimed album in five years, and a recent sold-out UK tour, the band will release 'Infra-red' on 19 June.

After the urgent plea that was 'Because I Want You, the second single from the album, 'Infra Red', further shows the maturity of the band's song writing and Brian's finely-honed storytelling. It is a classic Placebo single; understated verses and a euphoric, reaching chorus. It perfectly showcases an album where the band have returned to their roots, stripped away the layers and got to the heart of being a live, confident rock band. This they achieved with the help of producer Dimitri Tikovoi, who insisted they had to make their first record again and try everything; something the press agree with, bestowing plaudits upon the album.

The band co-headline the Friday night at the Isle of Wight Festival with The Prodigy on 9th June, then play T in The Park on 8th July, and Oxygen, Ireland on 9th July, and are the penultimate band on 27th and 25th August, respectively, at the Reading and Leeds Festival. They will also headline 11 major European festivals:
