Southern Sun Radio Edit 12" (PERF17T) Southern Sun features the vocal talents of rising star Carla Werner while vocals on Ready Steady Go are provivded by So Soild Crew member Asher D. Dutch superstar DJ Tiesto transfroms Southern Sun into an epic trance melodrama, while Gabriel & Dresden turn in dark and Ominous reinterpretation. Elsewhere on BUNKKA, an album both written and produced by Paul Oakenfold, are vocals provivded by the likes of Perry Farrell, Ice Cube, Tricky, Grant Lee Phillips, Nelly Furtado and infamous gonzoid journalist Hunter S Thompson. Although generally acclaimed for his
distinguished
work as dance music DJ and remixer, Paul oakenfold has
nonetheless
been pivotal in many musical developments over the past twenty
years.
He helped shape the development of hip hop in the UK while
working
for Champion Records, was instrumental in the acid house
revolution
as one of the Ibiza pioneers, produced the epoch making Pills
Thrills
N Belly Aches for Manchester's Happy Mondays and regularly DJ's
for stadium rockers U2. This summer paul oakenfold DJing extensively across Europe, and September will see the debut of the BUNKKA live project. |
