Stories don't come much brighter than Oppenheimer's. School teacher Shaun Robinson (Vocals, Drums, Keys, Guitars) and studio engineer Rocky O'Reilly (Guitar, Keys, Percussion, Mac) conceived their band in Belfast at the end of 2004 and since then have played with Architecture in Helsinki, The Bravery, Regina Spektor and The Chalets; recorded a debut album and BBC Radio Sessions and are off to South By South West in March to share a stage with Spinto Band.
Title track 'Breakfast in NYC' is a perfect pop moment, glockenspiel chimes, speaker-tearing bass and a backbeat reminiscent of 'Dots And Loops'-era Stereolab. Awe-struck boy sees mystery girl "Going crazy on the dance-floor" and it's clear that admiration from afar is not on our singer's agenda – "This time I'm gonna feel it!"
