Up
‘The Set Up’ is Obie Trice’s second single
from his debut album ‘Cheers.’ Obie is part of
the Shady Aftermath so has Dr.Dre producing the track and
Eminen as executive producer. Dre continues to produce simple
but effective beats that roll along smoothly with a deep
and infectious groove. Obie isn’t the strongest of
MC’s but flows well over this track. The lyrics are
about a low down cheap and unfaithful bitch that is the sort
of girl that will get you into trouble and ultimately does.
The track features the brilliant Nate Dogg flexing his quality
voice to create a catchy chorus. Overall verdict: not
bad.
