The Trax Records: The 20th Anniversary Collection package design is based on the original red paper-white ink Trax vinyl 12" labels. It includes inside liner notes by respected music journalist
Brian Chin, never before seen archival photos of House Music's most influential players and a personal message from Trax CEO Larry Sherman and president Screamin' Rachael.
Following immediately on its heels will be the companion set, Trax Records: The Next Generation , a double-CD of the best new productions on Trax. Old-schoolers return with fresh new tracks created with
today's house-head firmly in mind. Maurice Joshua teams up with Screamin' Rachael to deliver the breezy, begging-for-Ibiza, "So Sexy," Joe Smooth gives up signature instrumental heaven with "Alternative 3," and both Lidell
Townsell and Screamin' Rachael drop a bit of pop—Rachael with her current single, "Don't Make Me Lonely," and Lidell with " Duh Duh Da ," the follow-up to his massive crossover club hit, "Nu Nu."
Newcomers to Trax bring an equally appealing variety of sounds to the label. Banging peak-hour jams like the Platinum Orchestra's double-entendre workout "Fix My Sink" and Paul Johnson's cleverly
presented "Follow This Beat" bump next to deeply organic tracks like Black Mamba's "Life in the Jungle" and Gene Hunt's "Latin Chant" while Jere McAllister & Reggie Hall drop all-out dancefloor soul with
"Perfect Love" and a hot new production of the House classic, "Let the Music Use You."
The double CD package includes one full length CD mixed by Maurice Joshua as well as a bonus CD of unmixed tracks. Many of these tracks were produced in the beehive of warehouse offices and studios that Trax and
a number of House producers call home. Photos of the family at this "Motown of House" are included inside the CD.

Note to trainspotters: Yes, this CD does include a few tracks not originally released on Trax. However since "back in the day," Trax has bought up a number of great Chicago house label catalogues which
included these tracks. In that Trax is preserving and reissuing many of the greatest House records ever made, the label thought it might be OK to throw a few in the mix.
