Nerina Pallot will release the beautiful 'Sophia' as a single on 2 October through 14th Floor Records. The follow-up to the Top 20 hit single 'Everybody's Gone To War', 'Sophia' is taken from Pallot's stunning new album Fires, which was released by 14th Floor Records in April 2006 to widespread critical acclaim. The album has now achieved Gold sales status in the UK.

In addition, Pallot has announced a headline UK tour for November 2006. The tour follows on from Pallot's headlining show at London's Regents Park Theatre on September 3, which sold out a full two months in advance to make it her fourth sell-out London show this year alone. Pallot's consummate ability to captivate and enchant her audience has afforded her a phenomenal live reputation; The Independent recently rated her live performance as 5-star and described Pallot as being 'exceptional.' The tour will conclude with a performance at London's Shepherds Bush Empire on November 28.
