The trick stick has added depth to the player movement, by tapping the right thumb stick in one of eight directions you can pull off varying jukes and shakes and when used in conjunction with the turbo buttons the jukes and shakes become even more powerful. By using the pass buttons in conjunction with the turbo buttons you can also leave your opponent blushing as you go round him by bouncing the ball off the court wall or even off his face or body. The main advantage over the previous NBA Street versions is the way you can handle these tricks on your controller and this is due to the addition of the trick stick. Although the general game-play is 3 on 3, full court, street style every NBA team is present with a cut down squad. The game features the NBA's biggest and best stars from today, your favorite NBA legends, and a Hall of Fame cast of past STREET characters. Graphically this game is “Da Bomb” the player animation is getting much smoother, which really counts in a game such as basketball , it is also packed with highly-detailed authentic street courts, including courts outside of the US (Brighton Beach being one of my favorites) incredibly deep new court and player customization options mean you can stamp your own style on proceedings. Player customization includes the usual face, skin-tone, features stuff plus clothing and even hats and blingy jewelry. As mentioned in the opening paragraph music is a large part of street culture and NBA Street V3 has all the usual fat bass and sharp breaks you have come to expect from this kind of game. The Beastie Boys have a new version of their latest single present and there are also a lot of classic Hip Hop tunes in the mix such as De La Soul and House of Pain. Overall there isn't much wrong with this game. It has taken the Street theme to a new realm and added more game modes and online play. What more could you want from a street basketball sim?
