The songs are full of audacity as Mc Barman
uses samples from religious songs and Jewish wedding music
and anything else a little controversial, Both the lyrics
and sounds that M.C Paul makes are as random as each and other,
they cover all aspects of a modern young life. The album's
unhealthy mental state could be summed up in any of the 13
tracks, but to pick one at random, track 6 N.O.W has a Mario
Brother sounding backing track accompanied by the crazy M.Cing
of Paul. Which starts with him pretending to be an hippy 'free
love' orientated teacher taking her pupils on "her type"
of school trip (a protest!) The track carries on in this manner
with Paul M.Cing as his screwed up self. Other features off
the track include a short outburst off 'dum de duming' and
other random noises. Its sounds to unbelievable to be true;
but it is and its here, and if I have my way it will definitely
stay.
M.C Paul Barman's debut album -'Paullelujah!'
is the best thing to come from the white rap scene. All I
can say is, if you believe you are mentally sound enough to
not be in danger of being carted away to 'Bedlam' anytime
soon then listen to this album and you will understand why
this review reads as random as it does. Paullelujah is dirty
but fun, perhaps a little to rude to be played in an office
full of people! This however seemed to attract a lot of attention
from passers by! With big hair and a personality to match
Mc Paul Barman disserves to be the next big thing. The novelty
factor of his records never fade and it never becomes annoying
just funnier with each repeat of the ironic album.
