Karaoke Plays is the fourth release from Maximo Park's second album, Our Velocity.

More downbeat and less immediate than the previous two offerings, Karaoke Plays isn't the obvious choice of single admittedly, but it's a charming little song in its own right, with Paul Smith's clever lyrics the perfect companion to the low-key jangly guitars.

It won't win many new fans, and any converts will already have the album, but it's still a nice diversion.
