Synopsis

MATCH POINT had its world premiere to great acclaim at the 58th Cannes Film Festival and is Woody Allen's first production to be filmed in London and entirely outside his native New York.

The film is about a young man's rise in society and the terrible consequences of his ambition. He is torn between two women, and finding no way out, resorts to extreme actions.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON plays the beautiful American girl who comes between JONATHAN RHYS MYERS and his wife EMILY MORTIMER. MATTHEW GOODE is Emily's wealthy brother who initiates the tragic events.

Match Point is released across the country on 6th January 2006.
