So from the remains of At the Drive-in come the Mars Volta,
much like the overused phoenix simile. If this track is
really representative of their album, we’ve really
got something special in these boys; Intertiatic ESP is
as progressive as its title, twice as interesting and not
half as original… jumpy structures with layers of
effects under a surprisingly catchy chorus should bring
M.V. the fans their haircuts deserve.
