The Lord of the Rings™, The Two Towers™ gets its
run out on the Gamecube. It's a typical hack and slash offering,
swinging your sword in various ways to 'off' a multitude of
characters. The game is great looking and mixed with a sound
track from the original score which creates a great atmosphere.
Attacks take the form of a quick slash or a vicious stab
or the effective "kill" (which does what it says
on the tin). You can upgrade attacks with experience points
gained during battle so there are plenty of new moves to learn.
You travel through a number of levels that are nicely linked
with clips from the film. There is plenty to uncover or unlock
but anyone who is familiar with the game play should cruise
through this offering in a matter of hours. There are three
playable characters Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli (the hard as
nails dwarf).
