Manchester’s Long-View, Rob McVey (vocals), Doug Morch (guitar), Aidan Banks (bass) and Matt Dabbs (drums), have had an incredible 2004. Alongside two sell out UK tours
– including two nights at the Mean Fiddler - and acclaimed performances at Glastonbury and V2004, Long-View are about to break thousands of hearts in the States having just signed to Columbia Records for the
US. With tracks from their debut album, Mercury, already receiving plays on K-Rock and KCRW, the band play their first US live shows in New York at Piano’s on November 29 and the Mercury Lounge on
November 30.
Subversions, a limited edition album released on vinyl only, will follow ‘Coming Down’ on January 24. The album collects together for the
first time many of the rare Mercury remixes. Available previously only as b-sides or white labels, mixes come from the likes Ulrich Schnauus, Elbow, Andy Votel and
Mogwai.
Long-View are also confirmed to play London’s The Scala/ Wed 12th Jan.
