Sky Movies is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the Film On The Square strand within The Times bfi 48th London Film Festival.

Showcasing 36 of the most anticipated mainstream Hollywood, indie, European and world cinema titles, Sky Movies Film On The Square strand offers a wide variety of fantastic films to suit all tastes.

Sky Movies is especially thrilled to present Vanity Fair as our Special Screening on Monday November 1st. Mira Nair's spectacular period drama boasts an enviable cast list, including Reese Witherspoon, Gabriel Byrne, Rhys Ifans, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Eileen Atkins, Bob Hoskins and James Purefoy. Based on Thackeray's timeless novel Nair uses her exuberant visual style to uncover the snobbery of the English class system allowing Reese Witherspoon to play one of the most enjoyable heroine roles in years.

In addition, Sky Movies will be presenting this year's 'Surprise Film', which is traditionally the fastest-selling screening of the festival. The Surprise Film will play on Sunday 31st October at 9pm.
