Booksellers are being urged to embrace the second World Snicket Day on October 27th 2004 to quell the success of Lemony Snicket’s bestselling books once and for all.

The popularity of Mr Snicket’s awful tales are only set to increase when a vile film is released by Universal Pictures on December 17 2004.

The details are just too depressing: a star-studded cast including Jim Carrey, Billy Connolly, Meryl Streep, Timothy Spall and Jude Law, and a production budget bigger than Titanic.
