KT Tunstall
KT will release a new single 'Another Place To Fall', from 'Eye To The Telescope', on March 13th through Relentless
KT Tunstall has been nominated for three 2006 Brit Awards - 'British Female Solo Artist', 'British Live Act' and 'British Breakthrough Act'. KT, who performed 2 tracks – 'Black Horse And The Cherry Tree' and 'Under The Weather' at the launch event will perform live at the Brits Ceremony, which take place at Earls Court 1 tonight.
The Brits nominations mark yet another incredible high in what has already been a phenomenal 12 months for KT, which has seen her go from an unknown singer to being the UK's biggest selling female artist of 2005. Her critically acclaimed debut album 'Eye To The Telescope' has now sold well over 1 million albums in the UK alone and was nominated for 2005's Mercury Music Prize. KT's breakthrough single 'Black Horse And The Cherry Tree' also won a Q Award for 'Best Track' in October, beating off competition from Coldplay, Oasis, James Blunt and U2.
KT will also release a new single 'Another Place To Fall', from 'Eye To The Telescope', on March 13th through Relentless. A bluesy-rock stomp which recounts the tale of a broken friendship, 'Another Place To Fall' showcases yet another side to KT's ability as a singer-songwriter. The video is directed by Tim Pope, the man behind the recent Kaiser Chiefs and classic Cure videos.
