Kinesis
follow typically incendiary performances at Scotland’s T in the Park
and Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival with a new single in
September.
“One Way Mirror” is taken from the band’s
debut LP, “Handshakes for Bullets”. A firm live
favourite, the track was one of the last songs to be written
for the LP.
The single is backed with a new recording
of “Zyklon
B” co-produced by the band at Liverpool’s Parr
Street Studios and new track “Tradition Kills Perspective”.
Kinesis have toured the UK incessantly
throughout 2002 and 2003, highlights being supports with
Manic Street Preachers,
Hundred Reasons and Hell is for Heroes alongside two packed
out headline UK tours and a special “for the fans” free
show at Manchester’s Roadhouse.
With a stipulation that everyone had to wear a white T-shirt
to get in free, the venue was packed within minutes of opening
and gleaming white from wall to wall.
Kinesis remain one of the most aware and motivated bands
in the UK, encouraging fans to contribute to their free quarterly
newsletter, available on tour and through the website www.kinesis-official.co.uk,
which is rapidly becoming a forum for everything from political
theory to alternative dating service.
Tour plans are being finalised for the autumn and more details
will follow shortly.
