Killa Kela
Elocution
Legendary beatboxing champion Killa Kela warms up for the release of his forthcoming 'Elocution' album with a nationwide UK 'fresher tour'.
Killa Kela 's meteoric rise within the hip-hop world kicked off with his inherent ability to beatbox at an early age. Under the watchful eye of his mentor DJ Vadim, Kela spent the first seven years of his career growing as an artist and songwriter which led to his performing with musical greats on both sides of the Atlantic such as N.E.R.D, Rocksteady Crew, Mark Ronson, Jurassic 5 , Justin Timberlake and the Scratch Perverts, to name just a few.
All of this is a far cry from Killa Kela's sheltered West-Sussex upbringing, where hip-hop and beat boxing were relatively unheard of. Inspired by the U.S hip hop scene, Kela would either spend hours perfecting his vocals in a well-amplified toilet or distorting HI-FI speakers - all in pursuit of a fresher, more broken beat.
With unprecedented beatboxing skills locked down, Kela now adds Mcing and singing strings to his bow, giving a fresh angle to the definition of a One Man Band talent.
Get ready for the full live Kela experience as he introduces you to the weird, wonderful compelling and colourful world of 'Elocution'. Joining him on tour will be the Elysean Quartet and his Spit Kingdom crew, namely MC Trip and Rockwood (vocals), Spyda (Vocals/Keys) and Skeletrik (decks).
