Although there’s usually a far amount of respect for Ms.Kelis releasing fairly gutsy stuff, her new style, produced and written by the ubiquitous Neptunes, sounds more like another one of the “100% effort by Pharrell Williams, vocals by…” tracks which have been haunting the charts recently, and as it sounds like Williams has done this one in his sleep, it’ll probably slip under the radar unless it has a fairly decent video to back it up. It’s obviously supposed to be a kind of sexy electronica, but it just ends up sounding slack.
