With a combination of archive footage (the crucial three at school, rehearsing and performing their first gig at the legendary Hope & Anchor) and on the road footage (from Brixton Academy to the Coachella Festival via Radio City in New York to Atlanta, Georgia) "Strangers"
gives a unique and compelling insight into the band's story: how they formed, what inspires the music, and what it's like to be a newly successful band on the road. The film charts Keane's musical progression from a four-piece guitar band to the three-piece piano-based group that they've become today, and shows how they went from playing tiny gigs on the UK pub circuit, to winning two Brits and selling nearly five million copies of their debut album "Hopes & Fears" around the world.
