Kaiser Chiefs
Yours Truly, Angry Mob
Album Listening Post

At last, the time is nigh...
Kaiser Chiefs are set to unleash their new album on February 26th. With the title held under wraps since it's completion in late Autumn 2006, the album witnesses a band accelerate past that threatening crossroads that is the "difficult second album"...no such worries here!

'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' wields it's musical might from the off in the shape of the single 'Ruby' - a track to rival anything the band have put out single wise to date. 'Angry Mob' is destined to be a huge live favorite as well as hogging space on the stereo alongside several tracks that have seen action during the band's festival appearances last summer - the likes of the 'Learnt My Lesson Well', emerging from the studio transformed from the shadow of it's former self, 'Heat Dies Down' will have 'em pogoing in the aisles en masse whilst 'Everything Is Average Nowadays' is perhaps the thread linking 'Yours Truly...' with its predecessor.

Meanwhile, Nick Hodgson temporarily takes over vocal duties on the plaintive beauty 'Boxing Champ' , 'Try Your Best' with it's popsydelic feel (slightly reminiscent of Julian Cope) and the brilliantly titled 'Loves's Not A Competition (But I'm Winning) , great lyrics and turn of phrase. 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' then...as one band member has been heard to utter..."is an album full of big choruses and even bigger guitars".

Overseen by Stephen Street at Hook End Manor Studios and mixed by Stephen & Cenzo Townshend at London's Olympic Studio, 'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' will be available on vinyl and CD through the ever reliable B-Unique Records.

'Yours Truly, Angry Mob' in its entirety as follows...
1. 'Ruby'
2. 'Angry Mob'
3. 'Heat Dies Down'
