Joss Stone is being embraced by America
and American artists. Artists as good as The Roots have
produced tracks on her
debut album ‘The Soul Sessions.’ Not bad for
a sixteen year old girl from Devon. What makes Stone so cool
is that she has a soulful sassy sound to her voice that is
deeper than her competitors like Britney Spears for example.
This track is a cover of The White Stripes ‘Fell In
Love With A Girl’ but changes girl with boy. It is
very successful. The track is completely different to Jack
White’s version. It is a soulful, funky jazzy number
that Stone makes her own and she sounds effective
with this blend of music. It’s sexy, smooth and has
the hallmarks for success.
