Josh Ritter's follow up to 'Girl In The War' will be released on May 29th 2006.

Following on from the release of sublime new album The Animal Years, Josh releases stand out track Lillian, Egypt as a single on 29th May.

With two new tracks Peter Killed The Dragon and Harbortown along with the silent movies homage video for Lillian, Egypt, this is a mouthwatering addition to Josh's canon and great introduction to one of the finest songwriters of his generation.

The Animal Years was recorded in Bear Creek Studios outside of Seattle with Brian Deck (Modest Mouse and Iron & Wine) at the producing helm, the album reflects Ritter's attempts to internalise and postage stamp a year of deep global unrest that his country has both shaped and been shaped by.
