Jay Sean seem to be the self proclaimed Asian Craig David, where he even battles with himself, on the second track on this single to attain some sort of status in his worrying schizophrenic state of mind. Track 2 ‘Me Against Myself’ proves he can rap and sing with an individual British style. However I’m concerned that Jay Sean may be letting himself down. His influences appear to me to be the likes of boy bands and Bollywood, which is fun but lacks that killer blow that sets

the standard. ‘Eyes On You’ is a light fix of pop with a lacklustre Asian influence that doesn’t compete with heavyweight r’n’b or push musical boundaries like the likes of Talvin Singh. J Sean can sing and he’s making pleasant music for the masses.
