James Blunt will release a new single 'Carry You Home' on Friday 21st March 2008, taken from his number one album 'All The Lost Souls'. The third track to be taken from his Number 1 LP 'All The Lost Souls' it follows a BRIT Award nomination for Best British Single (1973).
Written by James and Max Martin, the immaculate new single is produced by Tom Rothrock ('Back To Bedlam') and remains one of the LP's many highlights. Sonically beautiful and emotionally resonant, it combines tender lyrics with a hook-laden chorus.
Available on CD, 7" vinyl and Maxi CD, each format boasts must-have bonus material. The 2-track CD boasts the B-side 'Young Folk', the 7" vinyl features an Ibiza remix of 'Wisemen', while the Maxi CD includes two AOL videos ('Carry You Home' & '1973'), plus an exclusive
'Same Mistake' remix.
The video has been directed by Jake Nava, whose critically acclaimed credits include Rolling Stones, Natalie Imbruglia, Usher & Dido.
Recorded and mixed in L.A with his acclaimed live band - keyboardist Paul Beard, guitarist Ben Castle, bassist Malcolm Moore, and drummer Karl Brazil - 'All The Lost Souls' continues its long-term residency in the UK Album chart. Truly instantaneous, the LP boasts several road-tested favorites, including the hook-laden 'I Really Want You', the blazingly anthemic 'One of the Brightest Stars', 'Give Me Some Love' with its infectious chorus and 'I'll Take Everything'.
