Taken from the forthcoming 'DJ Kicks' series on Ik7, My Piano is another strong electro-pop release from the London-based synth outfit Hot Chip.

Consisting of piano stabs (of course), synth's, a clubby 4/4 beat, interesting percussion & softly spoken vocals, My Piano is the typically high calibre pop-house we have come to expect from the band. Though annoyingly, the dub mix loses the textural beauty of the original, and the appearance of an annoying cheaply modulated synth make it a worthless & tacky feature.

Hot Chip are busy working on the follow up to last years highly acclaimed record 'The Warning' & if My Piano is anything to go by, fans of the synth merchants should be in for a similar treat. Good stuff.
