Released on January 28th 2008, 'Ready For The Floor’ will be the first single from Hot Chip’s forthcoming album ‘Made In The Dark’.

‘The Warning’ proved Hot Chip have an uncanny skill for creating widescreen pop music that pushes the boundaries of what music can be. ‘Ready For The Floor’ is no exception: a glorious mix of dance floor grooves and folkish pop that is instantly inebriating/intoxicating.

Amid the weird and wonderful noises, Kautrock tendencies and their affinity for 2 step garage, Hot Chip have always maintained a strong pop sensibility and ‘Ready For The Floor’ is arguably their most accessible track yet, a pop nugget and no mistake.

Bridging the gap between Kylie and New Order the effervescent verses pogo along before exploding into a sea of melting synths. Alexis’ voice provides a dreamy, almost falsetto tone, in contrast to Joe’s deep baritones culminating in the catchiest hook you’ll hear all year. Ready for the floor? You will be!

Hot Chip have spent the last 12 months compounding their status as one of the hardest working bands around having toured constantly for 2 years, the band went straight back into their home studio to record the third album ‘Made In The Dark’.

To herald the release of their new album, and in keeping with their tireless work ethic, Hot Chip will be taking their thrilling live show all over the UK throughout the month of February.
