The new album by notorious underground band Herman Düne is 'GIANT', and will be released in the UK on February 5th 2007. The gorgeous first single is 'I Wish I Could See You Soon', due some time in January, a big hug of a song, charting the euphoria and uncertainty of a new love. It reminds us of a classic happy/sad Jonathan Richman number!

Now under the wing of a new French label Source Etc. they have been at liberty to indulge some long-held sound-production/arrangement fantasies. With a brand-new percussion line-up, the vintage sound of an actual Bourbon 'horns & brass' section, and the vocal support of girl-group The Woo-Woos (Lisa Li-Lund & The New York Babyskins), Herman Düne's songwriting skills sparkle more than ever before.
'GIANT' was recorded live in a studio near Mount Snowdon in North Wales, where according to legend, giants roam....

The Herman Düne family has roots in Sweden, France and New York. The brothers David-Ivar ('Ya Ya') - guitar, bass & vocals and André - guitar, sax & vocals - have played together since early childhood with Néman on drums and recent addition, younger sister Lisa, backing vocals. They now live variously in Berlin, New York & Paris and gather to tour and record as often as possible.

Herman Düne have released several albums since their inception in 2000, the most recent being the widely acclaimed 'Not On Top' (Track And Field). They have played all over the world, to ever-expanding crowds. UK press coverage has been consistently excellent and they have had a lot of radio support here mostly from John Peel (12 Sessions in all).
