Seal was reportedly trying to get hold of their mobile telephone numbers after being refused backstage entry at their LA gig. 2001 was a spectacular year for Zero 7. As well as being voted
Best Newcomer at the Muzik Magazine Awards, they were also nominated
for the much-lauded Mercury Prize. 2002 looks like it’s going to be just as successful for
the London-based collective. Sales for their debut album Simple
Things have now reached double gold (200,000) in the UK.
