Headland - Bible, Torah & Koran Video
Headland
Bible, Torah & Koran
Video Stream
Headland blew us away with their 'Monster in a Shirt' download (3 July), commanding attention from radio with big love from XFM, as well as MTV2 digging the dark and slightly sinister video.
Not content with the success of the first download release, up next from Headland's second album is a psychedelic secular anthem, "Bible, Torah & Koran" released on Touchy Feely Records (4 September). Brimming with dirty bass lines, and enough psychedelic licks to get the most discerning listener on the dance floor. This release is number 2 in headlands bi-monthly download campaign culminating in the album release. The video is being shot as you receive this news. It will take place at Speakers Corner with a deranged vicar and his ASBO acolyte. Fact.
What can we tell you about the b-side? It's a surprise pudding of Peaches and Kareem. Only available on promo CDs, you lucky, lucky people.
The first CHOC ICE and 'Monster in a Shirt' launch was a truly amazing night. Those of you who missed it, missed out big time. There wasn't a choc ice left in the house by the end of the night. Second CHOC ICE will be on Thursday 24 August. Don't say we didn't tell you.
Tom, Tom, Tom (that's three full size Toms - count them), Seb and Mary make Headland. Together they create beguiling and remarkable music for us to dance and swoon to. Headland have to be seen to be believed, and they've been working at something truly special. Public performances will take place at Time Out venue of the year, The Luminaire, again bi-monthly like the releases, and always a release launch party. See how this works? Much frivolity is predicted, and these evenings of high-end entertainment will be named CHOC ICE, complete with 1950s ice-cream-selling ladies.
