Dublin foursome Hal are the latest indie rockers to be touted as the next big thing and unusually, “Worry About the Wind” does anything but disappoint. Released through Rough Trade on April 26th, the radio friendly breezy vocals and well honed harmonies coupled with glistening instrumentals make the debut destined for chart success.

It takes a certain something to make a rainy April day feel like summer and Hal have managed it. The infectious chorus leaves even

the most tone deaf tempted to belt out a sing along attempt. This I know for a fact.

Comparisons to Neil Young are bandied about by the critics left, right and centre and with good reason, this is classic melodic pop at its best. If this is a sign of things to come from the newcomers then we’re in for a treat.
