Song 4 Mutya is the new single from Groove Armada, released 23 July 2007 through Columbia. Taken from their acclaimed album Soundboy Rock, this masterstroke of a collaboration with former Sugababe Mutya Buena is a slice of perfect electronic pop that fizzes with attitude and is poised to dominate dancefloors and airwaves this summer. The three formats will include remixes from Kissy Sell Out, Sunset Strippers, My Digital Enemy and Linus Loves.
Soundboy Rock is the sound of a band ten years young. Recorded between London (Tom) and Barcelona (Andy), Groove Armada have created a wonderfully uplifting album and a celebration of dance music's vibrant versatility. It's an album teeming with ideas, featuring a roll call of superlative talents. Easily Groove Armada's most diverse record to date, the album is pushed along and an exhilarating pace by contributors including Mutya, Candi Staton, Alan Donohoe (The Rakes), Simon Lord (Black Ghosts), Richard Archer (Hard-Fi), Rhymefest and Angie Stone. It's a testament to Groove Armada's core visionary genius that it all flows together like one seamless whole.
In whatever way you look at it, Soundboy Rock is a major achievement. With the album's first single 'Get Down' hitting the Top 10 and 'Song 4 Mutya' bound to follow, Tom and Andy are on a roll.
Groove Armada will headline their own Lovebox Weekender on 21-23 July, and play Creamfields on 25 August.
